Simon Thompson came to financial forecasting as a speciality after a long and varied career that encompassed alternating bouts of entrepreneurship and accountancy. As a result he has an unusual breadth of commercial experience encompassing businesses of all sizes in many sectors.

His current business, Edge Forecast, provides a unique mix of expertise and specialist software to create tailored, editable forecast models for small and medium businesses and he works with many organisations and platforms who provide or advise on finance and growth for SMEs.

He lives with his wife Clare in Bath, supports whoever is currently leading the premiership from the comfort of his sofa and litter makes him furious.
