Dr Sue Mitchell is Director of Aeona, an Approved Development Provider with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) for Leadership and Coaching programmes. Sue works with organisations, leaders, managers, business owners and private clients to inspire them to achieve results, make a difference and change their world for the better. Clients come from organisations of all types and size from start-ups, sole practitioners and SMEs to multinational corporates, the public sector and third sector.
Sue specialises in supporting people and organisations to work with mindset to raise personal, team and organisational performance, engagement and wellbeing. Specific topics include motivation, confidence, emotional intelligence, resilience, mental toughness, and values-driven leadership. Sue delivers executive one-on-one coaching, leadership development and other programmes. She facilitates half-day workshops to multi-day events, including ILM Development programme modules, team building and facilitated visioning and strategy sessions. Sue is a highly-rated speaker at conferences, seminars and CPD events for professional organisations.
Sue has over 20 years’ experience as a trainer and coach and her practical approach is supported by academic ability and diverse knowledge. Sue’s professional approach includes relevant qualifications, regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and membership of professional bodies [Association for Coaching (AC), Institute of Directors (IOD), ILM and Professional Speakers Association (PSA)]. Sue volunteers on the board of Women in Banking and Finance Edinburgh Branch, is chair of Moorfoot Community Council and qualified as a National Instructor with the British Sub Aqua Club in 2006. She draws on skills from her coaching and training experience and also running a business, leading adventurous and scuba diving expeditions overseas, and years of scientific research in behaviour and evolutionary ecology, to support clients to hone in on the issues, elucidate patterns, uncover assumptions and gain clarity, focus and direction.
